Placement Tests
The following classes require students to pass a placement test:
- ASL 2
- Spanish 2
- Intermediate Math
- Pre-Algebra
- Algebra
- Algebra 2
- Geometry
The purpose of this test is to determine your child’s readiness for our upper level academic courses. Books, notes, calculators, and other people CANNOT be consulted during the test.
A Timothy Ministry teacher will review your child’s test and advise you on placement or remedial work. A student sometimes fails a test because they are making the same mistake repeatedly or are simply missing one concept.

Students who are currently in an academic math class at Timothy Ministry do not have to take the placement test. A grade of ‘C’ or higher in their current math class will allow them to move on to the next math class.
